Dahl will be attending the WBENC-MN Corporate Panel event from 8:30am-11:00am. This panel is a unique opportunity for women's business enterprises such as Dahl to learn firsthand about securing business with such local corporations and entities as Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cub Foods, SuperValu and Target. We'll learn how their supplier diversity programs can support women businesses and how they do business with certified women business owners.

In a partnership with the WBDC MN (Women's Business Development Center), Dahl Consulting is thrilled to be sponsoring a continental breakfast at their regional workshop, "Government and Corporate Contracting: what WBE's need to know to be successful". This workshop is being held at one of our WBE corporate partners, Target Corporation and is a great event to network with other women owned businesses and leverage current WBDC and WOSB programs.

On Tuesday, May 24th, Dahl attended the first Minnesota Suppliers Showcase sponsored by the Itasca Project at Medtronic's CRDM Headquarters in Mounds View, MN. The Itasca Project launched the Supplier Showcase to test new and innovative ways to more efficiently connect our region's small and growing companies to larger customers, and in so doing, help grow jobs here in Minnesota. Over 80 companies in the Information Technology and Computer Services categories were nominated for consideration in the showcase. From this prestigious group, Dahl was honored to be among the 21 companies named semifinalists based on innovation, capability of serving large customers, relevance to the local customer base and ability to increase jobs..

Dahl will be attending a Joint Procurement Meeting, hosted by Best Buy. The Women's Business Development Center - Minnesota (WBDC-MN) is pleased to announce the JOINT WBDC-MN/MMSDC Procurement Meeting hosted by Best Buy. These networking sessions will provide Dahl reps an opportunity to meet and interact with local women's and minority business community partners and large corporations that support supplier diversity. We'll learn best practices, share ideas, exchange information, and do business. As part of the event, Best Buy's Supplier Diversity practices will be highlighted.

Dahl will be at the Carlson School of Management's Graduate Career and Internship Fair on Friday, January 28, 2011 from 10am-1pm in the Hubert H. Humphrey Atrium. The Graduate Career Fair is an annual spring event for MBA and MA-HRIR students and alumni geared toward networking with experienced professionals from local small to mid-sized companies. We are excited to meet face-to-face with some of Carlson's brightest MBA and MA-HRIR candidates.

Dahl will attend the First Tuesday networking event starting at 5:00pm at Bar Abilene in Uptown (Minneapolis). Founded in 2000, First Tuesday is a loose knit group of account managers, recruiters, and branch managers within the Twin Cities information technology and staffing industries. The group provides a forum to network with peers and associates, share qualified candidates and job opportunities, discuss candidate and client issues and socialize on a monthly basis. At present, the group is over 400 members strong.

In the spirit of the season, Dahl recently made a food donation to Sharing and Caring hands on behalf of our staff, consultants and clients. The food donation we made yesterday will provide a family of four three meals a day for two months. Sharing and Caring hands was founded in 1985 by Mary Jo Copeland as a safety-net organization to help those who could not obtain help from the welfare system. Thank you to all for the generous donations!

Congratulations to Dahl's Dan Hornseth! We are pleased to announce that Dan has been awarded Corinthian Lodge's 2010 Mason of the Year. This achievement recognizes Dan for his work as Senior Steward, webmaster, and newspaper editor. Dan has been in the Mason Lodge for only 16 months, so this is quite an accomplishment. Way to go, Dan!

Dahl acquires Vendor Management Software to bundle with Vendor Management Services or use as standalone system. Dahl has added Contract Central to provide its clients a Vendor Management System. Contract Central will offer clients an automated system to manage their Contingent Workforce. This system will allow clients to streamline process, reduce costs & risk, speed time to fill requirements, track supplier performance, automate time & approvals, report spend and manage compliance within the system.
